Andrew Dickson is a strange one. He really is.
For a journalist, he really does need to brush up on his fact checking skills.
Or have his fellow professionals do it for him.
But his problem, like many in the Rangers supporting fraternity in the journalistic world is that his staunchness clouds his judgement.
And today it was clouded to such a degree that a fellow Sky journalist had to put him right.
Dickson tweeted this lie:
And any football fan will tell you that what he has said is simply untrue.
And Anthony Joseph put him to rights:
That comes with success. But SPL did help them prepare for European games in Dec & May, before a Euros summer. When else could they have been played before players had to join national squads? I’m not averse to it happening now – it’s just wrong to say they didn’t help in 2008.

And, rather surprisingly, there was no reply to the last tweet. Maybe, eventually, the penny dropped.
A rather embarrassing episode for Dickson who really should try, his hardest, to more factual in his tweets so he doesn’t end up with egg on his face:
Ownership of the biggest greeting face on twitter. Bravo Anthony 👏🏼

Don’t forget Rangers vs St Mirren in November 2007 was postponed and they could have played that in February when they played their game vs Gretna that was postponed from December. They ended up playing the St Mirren game after the split.

No matter how hard you try he will never admit that they got the season extended in 2008
