“Failure” – Hugh Keevins changes tact after foolish pre season predictions

Criticism has been flying around from all angles for the Ibrox club.

From the fans sticking the boot into Gio, Ross Wilson and the board, now it’s the turn of veteran journalist Hugh Keevins.

Keevins is notorious for his anti Celtic rants. We all remember the Absolutely Not Good Enough article and him predicting that Celtic would finish third behind Aberdeen at the start of the season.

And now it seems he is changing his tact now that Ange Postecoglou has rammed those early season criticisms back down his throat.

After the the Glasgow Derby, Keevins was talking on Clyde1 about some of the reasons why Rangers have surrendered a 6 point lead at the top of the table and his verdict?

“Two things put Giovanni van Bronckhorst under pressure.

“One is the fact that he came with a six point lead over Celtic, which has now turned into a six point deficit, effectively seven point deficit because the goal difference.

“That’s a hefty turnaround for a manager to have to live with.

“Secondly, his January transfer window, in retrospect, will be seen as a failure.

“Aaron Ramsey. Failure.

“Diallo. Failure.

“James Sands? Well, what did you expect of him? So the January transfer window has been bad for Rangers.”

Hugh Keevins

Makes a nice change for Hugh to turn his spectacles towards the Ibrox club for criticism.

Now let’s just wait for the condemnation of the sectarian signing……..
