“I don’t think he’ll change it” – John Hartson claims season is over for major Celtic player

Chris Jullien’s anonymity from the Celtic team is leaving a lot to be desired.

With the big French defender now reportedly recovered from his horrific knee injury that saw him out for 15 months, it did seem that he was about to force his way back into the Hoops side from the bench just a couple of weeks ago.

That has failed to materialise and as yet, we have still not seen him make any kind of appearance this season.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, John Hartson reckons we won’t see him at all this season as there is too much to risk with the team only eight games away from title glory.

I have to agree with John here. When speaking about Celtic’s defensive options for the remainder of the season, the former Celtic striker warned that changing the centre back pairing of Starfelt and CCV could be dangerous as the Hoops look to seal the SPFL title with eight games to go, “Starfelt made a couple of early errors in the Celtic career, but I think he’s got to grips with the Scottish Premiership a little bit more now.

And it’s interesting that Jullien doesn’t come back into the team.

I think the manager looks at this pair, and I think he’s gonna go with this pair until the end of the season.

I really do. I don’t think he’ll change it. I don’t think it’d been Jullien back in. And I would probably agree with that decision in terms of the magnitude of the games that are coming up.

Eight cup finals, if you like, Celtic have in the league.

I think it’d be risky to change that now to break up that partnership if you like.

But no, you go on about them three, Starfelt, Carter Vickers and Joe Hart. They played a huge part in taking Celtic where they are.”
