“Bear on bear action. Love it.” – Union Bears meltdown rinsed by Celtic fans

I don’t know who these guys are trying to kid. They needs us more than we need them.

Their board know. We know it. They are either too entrenched in their own bitterness to admit it or are just plain stupid.

My own feeling on it is if this wasn’t billed as an Ange Homecoming Tour this lot would be well in bed with it for the financial gains that they so desperately require to keep the lights on.

The accounts don’t look good. And this move by the Ibrox suits tells you that they would rather play second fiddle to the biggest club in Scotland, than continually put their own money into the club for very little return.

Govan fan group, Union Bears, released a statement which seemed to rage more about the amount of money they have spent on a TIFO than the actual football event itself.

Let’s just gloss over the 150 year anniversary comments because every one knows that is just hyperbolic b*llsh*t.

So to summarise. They’re bealing about the TIFO being a laughing stock but are going ahead with it anyway. They would have been better doing what they did in 2012. Say, and do, nothing.

They are an angry bunch aren’t they. Default position is rage every time they make a ‘statement’ but it is good entertainment value. Especially when their own fans call out the stupidity of it:

And this last one sums them up. It summed them up in 2012, and sums them up now:

  1. This is my club have supported them since season 60/61 through good times and bad home and away also in europe spent good hard earned monies also bought excess merchandise have seen my club make history time and time again have witnessed very near damnation which would have been catastrophic not only to myself but thousands of our celtic family worldwide, even now there is talk about going to a far out land to play a game of football (ie) a friendly for excess amount of financial gain which can in reality be a good thing for our great club and our celtic family though some are against it as it is against our eldest foes of years gone bye, but what (IF) we actually had to draw them in European competition at some point home and away how would the supporters feel about this yes all right slightly different ok much different but at the end of the day it’s still financial game albeit we may win or way into another European piece of history
We have got supporters that have never even seen there team play live surely we must consider them before everything else whether it is against our old Glasgow foes or not, yes it’s a friendly but we all know our club never plays friendlies, So they want to call it a friendly and they have every right to do so, We may want to call it something else and once again we have every right to do so and if any members want to follow our great club play a game on foreign shores (ie) Australia who are we to question this they have every right to follow there club to the end of the earth if they really want to and we should be very proud of each and everyone of them as we should be very proud of our very own other members of our celtic family living elsewhere in the world even though this shall be Australia, We should wish our club all the very best wish them all the luck in the world and hope that each and everyone of them stay safe and wish them all a happy return home and instead of criticising them we should applaud them “Win, Lose or Draw & Just hope that every member of our celtic family from down under also enjoy the game and we all get the right result against our old foes from glasgow then everyone of them can enjoy their evening of joyous celebration and as I say if we can get the right financial gain for our great club then surely for everyone concerned with our great club it’s a “Win Win Situation” ynwa 🇯🇵🇮🇪💚🇮🇪🇯🇵
