Celtic fans have long been advocates of the Palestinian cause.
Now I know many will say that you must keep politics out of football but UEFA and FIFA’s stance on the Ukraine invasion by Russia has brought the Palestine debate front and centre again.
Palestinian media channel Quds News Network tweeted a quote from Egyptian international Mohamed Aboutrika where he called on FIFA to apply the same sanctions to Israel as they have done to Russia:
The tweet went viral overnight and received worldwide support.
The Celtic fans have been highlighting the hypocrisy of the games governing bodies over the last few days as the club has been fined in the past for the Parkhead fans support of the Palestinian cause.

I’m sure a refund of the fines Celtic have received will be forthcoming from UEFA any minute now.
