“If I’m a Celtic supporter” – Charlie Adam weighs into the Europa debate

Thank God he’s not. But here is the thing. Does Charlie Adam have a point here?

Reviewing Celtic’s defeat and knock out at the hands of Bodo Glimt, Adam made a point about the travelling fans to Norway on Thursday night.

Speaking on The PLZ Football Show, Adam said of Celtic’s defeat, “If I’m a Celtic supporter I’d be disappointed.

You pay good money to go and travel away and watch your team. You’re Celtic Football Club.

You should be looking to try and improve and get into the next round.

Yeah Bodo Glimt were a good side. Over two legs they deserved to get beat.

But you’ve got to have a go. Even though you’re two goals behind you have still got to have a go.

Sunday takes care of itself. If you can’t get up for playing Hibs on Sunday at 12 o’clock I would think it’s not right.

I’d be, if I was a Celtic fan, travelling all that way, spending the money I’d be disappointed in the team that was picked.

But that’s why Ange is the manager. He’s got a choice that he wants to make and he’s done that.

It’s not just about Sunday. I think if you go and win the league and progress the next few months then it will be worth it but if I was a Celtic supporter I’d be unhappy.”

First off, thanks Christ Charlie isn’t a Celtic fan. But even saying that, does Adam have a point here?

Should the Celtic fans that travelled to the Arctic Circle be rightly aggrieved at the team Ange picked when just over a week earlier he was telling us all that we are in this competition to win it?

I hate agreeing with Adam.

In fact, I’m not. Delete this.
