Celtic fans are getting twitchy and impatient with each passing day of the summer transfer window.
Brendan Rodgers has less than a month to get the quality he needs to improve the Celtic first-team squad.
The Celtic manager has been publicly telling the board through the media what his intentions will be come the end of this season should he not be backed sufficiently in this transfer window.
Whilst it seems that the message is not being heard or actioned by the Celtic board, the fans are starting to get angry.
But their anger is playing right into the Parkhead powerbrokers’ hands.
The split in the Celtic support that will please the Parkhead board
Celtic fans appear to be split this summer. There are those who are willing to give the club time to back Rodgers in the transfer window, and there are those who are not.
For those sick of watching the same transfer movie Celtic play in every window, they’ve had enough.
And it’s gotten to the point where they have turned on the part of the Celtic support who are still willing to give the board time.
The term ‘happy clapper’ is being thrown around a lot this summer and, truthfully, I have used it once myself.
Whilst I get the anger and the reason why it’s being used, it’s causing the shift of focus to be drawn away from the real enemy within.
The Celtic board.
While the fans turn on each other in various Celtic groups on social media and even within the fan media circles, the Parkhead board are getting off almost Scot-free.
The Celtic support need to unite and put the full focus of their frustration toward those who hold the purse strings.
Talk of boycotts simply won’t work. As seen by the Newcastle friendly, the online anger directed towards the pricing of that nothing game was quickly forgotten about after Celtic still sold more than 30,000 briefs at £25 a pop.
The only thing this Celtic board understand is the bottom line and they have done a grand job this summer punting every and any kind of merchandise Adidas has thrown together since the contract renewed in May.
There’s a starting point for one. Boycotting games only harms the team and with season ticket money already banked, that wouldn’t make a blind bit of difference to the Celtic Park suits.
After all, they threaten a Green Brigade ban for flying Palestinian flags in protest at the genocide in Gaza, do they really care if fans turn up to games or not?

Can you people just shut it please. Last year the same thing. Next year the same thing. FANS! Fanatics. Idiots who never gain knowledge from one year to another. I’ve always said if you knee-jerk numpties were ever in charge of Celtic within two years we’d be in the Highland league battling Fraserbourgh.
Learn and shut it. God you people make me sick.
If morons like you supported the club in the 90s, Celtic would’ve died, just like Rangers. Muppet
Stop giving them your cash
If we don’t qualify for the CL group stage the fans should boycott the Europa League package. Absolute shambles of a club . Every transfer window is the same. Charlatans.
