’Absolute audacity’ – BBC filleted for what they have said about Celtic’s Auston Trusty

To play fro Celtic it takes a player with not just skill, but a certain type of mindset.

You don’t need to be just physically strong too, you need a mental toughness to be able to deal with the pressure to win every week and cope with critics in the press.

Every Celtic fan knows that the Scottish media cannot wait to take a pop at the club or our payers. Even when they are just in the door.

And that is exactly what the BBC did with Celtic new Bhoy, Auston Trusty.

BBC said Auston Trusty not Celtic level

Paul John Dykes of A Celtic State of Mind wasted no time in sticking the boot into the national broadcaster in defence of the Atalanta hero.

Paul John said, “The absolute audacity of it. And what said was that Schmeichel and Scales and Trusty, they came under a lot of criticism after the Dortmund game, and they did. I mean, I’m going to pull up and I’m not having a dig at the person in question.

“You can check the live chat from last night’s halftime bulletin, where someone in the comments said that Liam Scales was a farmer. Now, this is the type of criticism I’m talking about. All week I’ve been hearing comments about Kasper Schmeichel being overweight, being a busted flush, I’m hearing that Trusty’s off it.

“I heard it on BBC. I don’t have to hear it on social media. I heard it on BBC that Trusty wasn’t at the right level to come into the Celtic side.

“Last night, those three players and others, but those three players for me stood out. I mean, they were colossal.”

The BBC’s anti-Celtic agenda

For a long time now Celtic supporters have to put up with an agenda from the BBC to take pot shots at our club.

Tom English couldn’t wait to put the boot into the club after taking a potshot at Brendan Rodgers after Celtic’s Champions League draw with Atalanta.

BBC Sportsound also tried to play down Celtic’s point in Atalanta by comparing the Italian side to Borussia Dortmund claiming the Serie A club were not the same level.

He’ll, Tom English even went to the whole trouble of pulling up the Opta stats of Celtic’s draw in Bergamo to take a dig at the club.

Instead of crediting Celtic for their performance people at the BBC seem intent on continually aiming digs at the club.

But then, are we really that surprised?

  1. The bbc is institutionally anti Roman Catholic and anti Irish they couldn’t wait to get sevco’s goals on tv tonight.I’m a Celtic fan from a family of orangemen and am totally disgusted with the BBC’s sectarianism.

Let other Celtic fans know your thoughts on this all things to do with the Bhoys!
