Celtic captain, Callum McGregor

Watch Celtic fan’s footage of Callum McGregor dealing with Vladimir Weiss berating Arne Engels

Celtic’s Champions League win over Slovan Bratislava was a performance of real silky football and battling quality.

Every single Celtic player got pass marks from those who started the match to those who finished it from the substitutes bench.

It was a lesson in real teamwork as Celtic dismantled the Slovakian champions in style as they took their chances in front of goal and kept the Bratislava at bay.

And to sum up the combative nature of the game, Callum McGregor summed up Celtic’s mentality with how he dealt with former Rangers player, Vladimir Weiss, as he stood over Arne Engels after fouling the young Celtic midfielder.

McGregor tells Weiss where to go

In footage captured by the excellent The Fast Lovin Sin-Soaked Heathen X account, McGregor is seen swaggering up to the Slovan Bratislava captain to do this:

It was a great piece of leadership by the Celtic captain as he gave the ex-Rangers man an earful for his cowardly conduct.

And the footage just epitomises why McGregor is so well-respected in the Celtic Park dressing room.

McGregor is a great leader and is always in the middle of every battle for Celtic whether it’s in the Scottish Premiership or in Europe in the Champions League.

With the 31-year-old on our side, Brendan Rodgers’ team look unbeatable already this season and as we look forward to more tussles in the Champions League you can bet McGregor will be right in the middle of it all mixing it up.
