Things go from bad to worse for Rangers this week as Ianis Hagi’s dad, Gheorghe takes a superb swipe at them in a rant that will leave the Celtic fans in tears.
The Rangers winger has been bombed out of the team amid rumours that his contract is set to give him a massive pay hike should he make one more first-team appearance.
And looking at how Rangers are looking to trim their wage bill, it’s understandable he’s been bombed out and told to train with the kids.
But it’s not left the legendary Romanian, Gheorghe Hagi best pleased.
Hagi raged (Daily Record), “Ianis isn’t coming back to Romania now. If he does ever come back, it will be to Farul Constanta.
“Forget what Rangers say, it’s what I say that counts. He has a contract with Rangers first and what has happened with him at Rangers is a story … an ugly story from the people responsible. It’s ugly.
“This is a player who went there when he was young, was their best player and then got injured. He fought back and what happened? He’s training on his own or whoever he’s training with.
“But when something like this happens in Western Europe, we are told, what claims do you have if you are from Romania?
“Excuse me, what would I know? I played at the highest level even though I’m from Romania. At one point I just said to them ‘shut up’. He won’t come here because he has proved he can be at Rangers. He was their best player.”
It wouldn’t be hard to be the best player in a second-rate team now, would it? As Celtic go from strength to strength, Rangers lurch from one disaster to the next.
And with the Glasgow Derby up next, another defeat for Philippe Clement’s side is sure to leave the Rangers fans in the midst of another meltdown.
This is all teeing up to be another Beautiful Sunday this weekend, isn’t it?

Some of the Celtic quick news sites are now being overloaded by insignificant, totally junk rubbish.
Thanks Tom. Appreciate the feedback. The point is to highlight how much disarray is happening over at Ibrox ahead of the Derby but I’m sure you got that, eh? 😒
