Never did I think I’d be talking about the Celtic fans getting stuck over Rangers looking to punt James Tavernier.
The Hall of Fame Ibrox captain who has won just three major trophies in his nine years at the club but has somehow been held up to legendary status.
I suppose in the eyes of the Celtic fans he is some sort of legend. I mean what other Rangers captain has watched Celtic pick up a Quadruple Treble, a nine-in-a-row and bottle numerous games at Hampden against us while continually telling everyone how disappointed he is at being a serial loser.
And now that he looks on his way out of Rangers, Roger Hannah took the news as an opportunity to take a swipe at the Celtic fans.

Introducing the show, Hannah was speaking about the interest from Turkey for Tavernier when he bizarrely aimed a shot at the Celtic fans.
Hannah said (Clyde SSB), “I’m just gonna say, I think it’s a relief for everyone at Superscoreboard that that bid has been turned down because if James Tavernier leaves Scottish football, what are 50% of the Rangers fans and 75% of the Celtic fans gonna phone in about?”
I think Hannah needs to remember one thing, Tavernier is only spoken about in Celtic circles because the Scottish media also have him elevated to some sort of hero status.
Tavpen’s goalscoring record is lauded as some sort of achievement despite him getting a hell of a lot of assistance from the Scottish referees.
And his time at Rangers is now being heralded as a success despite another right back in the green half of Glasgow having over double the number of winners medals in less than a third of the time Tavernier has been in Glasgow.
Ironically, over the course of the show, not a single Celtic fan called to discuss the Rangers captain.
The only thing the Celtic fans will miss is the laughs he has given us as the Ibrox captain and that’s the point Hannah blatantly missed when he tried his dig at us.
