It’s the transfer silly season and the rumours about Celtic are aplenty.
With Brendan Rodgers looking to bolster the squad with the money he is getting from the Champions League, the speculation surrounding players coming to the club is coming thick and fast.
The fans are discussing players like Kieran Tierney making a return to the club or if Rodgers will spend £8m on a defender who was injured for most of last season.
But with players coming in, some have to leave and Roger Hannah has told one that he should go this summer.
Mikey Johnston leaving Celtic for West Brom ‘in everyone’s best interests’
Hannah said (Superscoreboard), “No disrespect to West Bromwich Albion either but playing well for them is a different thing from playing for Celtic when the pressure is hardly on.
“I like Mikey Johnston, I think it’s in everyone’s best interests if he went to West Brom and got on with his career there.
“Because you can’t come back up for another go at Celtic and play this week, not play the next week and he’s going to find it difficult to oust Daizen Maeda on that side.”
I don’t think Johnston will b me leaving because he can’t ‘oust’ Daizen Maeda. He’ll be leaving because since making his debut in 2017, he’s played less than 100 games for Celtic.
And good luck to him. He clearly has the talent to be a good footballer and have a decent career.
Unfortunately it’s just not at Celtic.
