Day one of the post-Scottish Cup Ibrox meltdown and first up, it’s David Tanner who fails to try and sound magnanimous as he congratulated Celtic on their win.
Regular readers will be familiar with David Tanner‘s social media activity whenever it comes to speaking about Celtic and Rangers.
He can barely hold his contempt for Celtic whilst unashamedly putting in wee digs about his own club and last night was no different.
Tanner almost hails Celtic’s superiority over Rangers
In his first tweet, Tanner did well. He managed to congratulate Celtic by admitting that Celtic’s mental strength pulled them over the line yesterday whilst telling a wee tale about what Joe Hart said at the final whistle.
8/10 for effort:
But when he was asked to explain his ‘superior mentality’ comment by a clearly broken Rangers fan, Tanner’s mask slipped with a snidey wee dig at Celtic’s achievements this season:
Here is the thing. Rangers did not ‘throw it away’, Celtic won it after they got carried away celebrating a 3-3 win at Ibrox in April.
It’s that kind of loser mentality that cost them and the fact that Philippe Clement claimed a stupid moral victory at full-time that fired up Celtic and Brendan Rodgers to win the title.
Anyway, if you want the best of Tanner’s meltdowns this season, just hit here because there is absolutely no doubt there will be more when the new season kicks off in August.
