Blue on blue as leapfrogging Celtic in the league triggers superb infighting from the Rangers fans

Ibrox Stadium

Going top of the league above Celtic for the first time on over 18 months should be a sense of great joy to the Rangers supporters.

However, it seems that as the games tick down, the pressure on the team to deliver gets greater which means the fans are getting nervous in the stands.

But after their 5-0 win over their wee cousins from Edinburgh you would think that the Ibrox support would be happy. Ecstatic even. Not so.

Because a fan pointed out on X last night that even though they romped to a massive win yesterday he was disgusted at the stands emptying well before the full time whistle.

This one fan posted on X, “It’s embarrassing how empty our stadium gets in the last 10 minutes.

We’re playing excellent football thumping 3rd place 5-0 to go 5 points clear of that mob and all they think about is beating the crowd home. Worst c*nts!”

It’s brilliant isn’t it? They call us entitled whenever we rage at the club for their lack of transfer activity yet here they are on the cusp of the second league title in their history and their own supporters can’t even stay the full 90 minutes.

Now that is entitlement. I wrote the other week that the fans were fighting each other in the stands as Rangers struggled to get past Ross County (link above).

I said at that time the pressure was starting to build on them and now, it seems, it’s building with Celtic still breathing down their necks.
