“What a strategy!” – Listen to Gordon Duncan’s stunned reaction to Celtic fan’s genius transfer window plan that Brendan Rodgers should have implemented

Now that the transfer window is closed, it’s time to reflect on what could have been, what should have been and what never has been.

What could have been is that Brendan Rodgers was allowed to spend some of the £70m Celtic have swimming in their bank account.

What should have been is that the Celtic manager added four bodies that he desperately wanted. And what never has been is the amount of players still at the club who were meant to get shipped out.

For whatever reason, only four left. Marco Tilio, Kyeokkyu Kwon, Mikey Johnston and David Turnbull are gone.

There are more that should have left and this Celtic fan had a genius strategy that Rodgers should have used that could have won Celtic the league. Have a listen to this clip from Clyde Superscoreboard:

To be fair, it is a brilliant plan. And whilst the logistics might have been difficult, just how good would the Ibrox meltdown have been had Yang smashed a winner against them or Lagerbielke made a last-minute goal-line clearance?

It was a great point. Reducing the squad and loaning out players would make Rodgers’ life a lot easier however, the reality is that getting that many players out in such a short space of time would have been nigh on impossible.
