The Sun show their true colours with latest anti Celtic headline

Celtic Park

The Sun, it’s no wonder that publication is the most hated rag in football circles.

Their heinous treatment of Liverpool supporters after Hillsborough still sticks in the throat of every football fan and, to be honest, their style of sensationalist headlines is designed for one thing and one thing only.

Clicks.

And they don’t care if the headline misrepresents the story either.

Take last nights headline for example:

Celtic have received nothing but praise for their footballing style and rather than report that, this rag decided to try and find the worst, and only, derogatory comment from the Spanish press they could find.

But they did try to sweeten it with this caveat to begin with:

El Pais wrote, “They (Celtic) are a team that flows with grace. They are reluctant to simply assume their episodic role among the elite. It unfolded with ease.

“Madrid responded viciously to each march forward of the Glasgow team.”

But rather than lead with positivity, this sh*t paper of a media outlet went with this:

El Mundo wrote, “A poor Celtic made a fool of themselves in Chamartín and finally led to a Madrid win.”

There’s only one club that has made a fool of themselves in this Champions League campaign and it’s not us.

But let’s not let the facts get in the way of gutter journalism.
