Ibrox at Broomloan Road

“Clubs in freefall”, “Wonder if we’re desperate for money?”, “Bring back King” – Sevco fans panic as Ibrox fire sale commences

It was only a matter of time before the sales started to come.

The only problem is, instead of the gazzillions the *Rangers fans were expecting for some of their ‘top’ stars, it seems that they will only be raking in a fraction of what they thought they would get for the likes of Kent, Morelos and Aribo.

And it’s the former that this story is all about.

Heavily linked with Southampton, it seems that Aribo is set to leave the club after the English side have agreed to meet the £10m release clause in his contract.

Yes. £10m. Seems a lot doesn’t it? But when you consider that Ibrox Noise predicted he would be the first £35m player (yes, I know) in Scotlands history, it seems they are being short changed.

Well, everyone else outside of Govan knows they are not, but hey, delusion and all that eh?

The panic from the fans is setting is as they reacted to Heart & Hands revelation that the £10m release clause has been met but my question would be this.

How did they not know Aribo had this clause inserted before they started banding about silly prices?

Take this thread for example. Fans were pushing a £15m price tag yet H&H said nothing to correct them:

But then is he really that good? Not really when you look at this one when we beat them 2-1 in their own backyard.

How fickle the fans are………………

Anyway, enjoy a thread of pain as the reality of that their £35m start is going for less than a third of that figures bites…….
