“Worth €15-20m” – Stunning value placed on Celtic’s 15 goal hero

Celtic Park

Celtic’s squad have always had players worth a considerable amount of money in them over the years.

From Victor Wanyama to Moussa Dembele to Odsonne Edouard, the clubs ability to manage to find these players and make massive amounts of money on them are second to none in Scotland.

And I haven’t even mentioned Virgil van Djik or Kieran Tierney.

Many would have thought the last of these players walked out the door when Edouard and Ajer left the club last summer but it seems that is not so.

At least according to Avi Luzon, chairman of Maccabi Petah Tikva. Speaking to Israeli media channel One, Luzon said,”When I said Manor [Solomon] is worth €20 million people grinned, I was wrong, it’s worth €40 million now,” said Luzon, who also complimented Solomon’s friend on the offensive part: “Liel Abeda is worth a lot more today than what he was sold. It is already worth €15-20 million.”

And looking at Abada’s record this season it’s not hard to see why Luzon comes to that assessment.

Fifteen goals and eleven assists last season made Abada one of Celtic’s most feared attackers and at just 20 years old, the young Israeli international has just started his career at the Hoops.

If his form and development under Ange continues at this rate, who knows what his value could be in the next three years.
