Alan Nixon hints at EPL move for Tavernier

Celtic Park

Now we know it’s transfer silly season

As Celtic step up their efforts to strengthen the squad, it seems that *Rangers need to be braced for bids for their ‘top’ players.

With Calvin Bassey being set up for a £25m move, it is likely he will go for around a quarter of that.

Because that’s what the SMSM do. They build up players from Govans transfer fees to laughable amounts only to then discover that no one is actually interested in them or when they do move on, it’s for an ‘undisclosed fee’.

And you can bet that’s how Basseys transfer will be reported if it ever happens.

But Bassey isn’t the only one that the Ibrox fans should be worried about.

According to Alan Nixon, newly promoted Bournemouth may look to poach Rangers penalty king James Tavernier.

For how much tho? £50m? What am I talking about? That’s too low for a man that was once claimed could play in Man City’s side by a prominent journalist

Whatever the fee will be, you can just bet that it won’t comprise of more than two words.

One beginning with U and the other with F.
