Ok, as a ‘blogger’ (for want of a better term) there are things you just can’t compare when it comes to football.
Like is Kyogo a better striker than Larsson, for example? Now of course that isn’t a fair comparison considering Kyogo hasn’t even been here for a full season yet, but as this blog continues you’ll soon get where I am going.
Even by my own limited blogging standards, even I know to do a bit of research before I make some daft claims. Two years experience of doing this job has definitely told me that.
Which is why this post on Twitter from James Black is so confusing.
First off, lets all just agree that Aaron Ramsey was a complete failure of a signing. Even I know that most Rangers fans would agree with that.
He was signed to deliver the league and Europe.
Well, he was really signed to take the heat off Gio after a 3-0 mauling at Celtic Park that eventually surrendered the top spot in the league, but officially, he was signed to deliver those.
He did neither. He also never managed a full 90 mins but let’s not go there.
Which is why I find this comparison to Robbie Keane so baffling:
I mean let’s just bypass the fact that they are both very different players signed for very different reasons. Just what is this guys point?
The truth is, he doesn’t have one. Not a coherent one anyway and I seriously don’t know why he puts himself through this but here goes, he was held bang to rights by the Celtic fans:
Think Oldco Flo will always hold that accolade

Aaron Ramsey came to rangers, spent 3 months injured and then missed the pen that cost them the Europa league. Nobody comes close https://t.co/OG5pt4JgYk

Can’t recall Robbie costing us a Eurpean trophy and a place in pot 1 of the Champions League with the 10s of millions that entails.
As usual you’re making a complete howling c**t of yourself Jazza. pic.twitter.com/jaWz0jU2wV— Ronnie O’C We Never Stop🇮🇪 (@l_ippylipez) May 23, 2022
Greaseball is still raging. Amazing. 😂😂😂
Keane didn’t cost us the most important trophy in our history after playing about 90 minutes for us all season. 😂😂
The Europa dream and 56 died in 2022. Deal with it. 😂
