I don’t know what is more embarrassing. The fact that the *Rangers board have caved into mob mentality over a friendly that could net them millions, or the fact that BBC reporter Tom English has praised the club for it?
Surely any journalist worth their salt would have criticised any club for such short sited-ness and for making a decision based on no reasoning except pandering to a bigoted, baying mob?

So they took the huff because it was labelled the Ange Homecoming Tour. Instead of rising above that childish nonsense and earning themselves a few million they cancelled because of that. And Tom praises them?
It’s exactly this type of backward thinking that makes that support think that they really are the ‘peepo’.
But then it is typical of the media in Scotland. nary a bard word to say about the Govan club.

They didn’t need to ditch it at all. They chose to. Yet again, they pander to the worst element of their support. It’s 2022 ffs, a meaningless friendly, between 2 shadow squads. Lucrative and a nice day out for the expat fans. Everyone, Anyone looks rather flimsy now no?

The rangers behaviour has again been counter productive . At the end of the day it’s during a world cup and gives the players not involved the opportunity for some games and the rangers would have earned some much needed cash during a quiet period. Blind hate from the fans.
