English report challenges Scottish medias Aaron Ramsey narrative. Is he sure he ‘wanted’ to come to Sevco?

The Aaron Ramsey to *Rangers move is a big named move.

Of that there is no doubt.

But in name only. As far as I am concerned, his footballing ability is still in question until he starts to show it in Scotland.

But a report surfaced in England that challenges the narrative that is being reported in Scotland that the former Arsenal player ‘chose’ *Rangers.

It seems that Ramsey wasn’t leaving of his own free will.

He was pushed. And he didn’t choose Rangers either.

He was so sure of his own ability that he turned down moves, not for Rangers, but because he was sure he could get a more ‘high profile’ side.

So when it didn’t materialise he was left with only one option. And Juve were so desperate for it to happen, they offered to pay the baulk of his wage.

The Daily Mail reports why the Turin giants were keen on the Rangers move, “At first, it appeared the Serie A giants’ keenness to shift Ramsey from their squad was motivated by Allegri’s desire to reduce the dead wood in his team.

“However, Juventus writer Giacomo Sutiero understands that Ramsey had an automatic renewal clause in his contract, extending his contract to 2024 if he stayed at Juventus until June.

Fortunately for the Italian giants, his move to Rangers means this particular part of his contract cannot come to fruition.

So it seems Aaron has been caught telling fibs! Brilliant.
