The anti Celtic media narrative continues as radio presenter makes outrageous Postecoglou claim

Just when you think the media narrative against the club couldn’t get any worse, then this belter pops up.

Not content at the witch hunt against Kyogo given carte blanche on their station this week by former Rangers player Barry Ferguson, now a presenter has decided to make a claim on the Celtic managers position should there be no success at Celtic Park this season.

First off, not one Celtic fan expected any success this season. It was widely written off by the vast majority of fans as Ange Postecoglou looked to take on the biggest rebuild in Celtic’s history.

It is down to our great good fortune that Ange is a brilliant manager that we are in a national cup final, Europe after Christmas and still sit only four points behind the league leaders, with a threadbare squad.

All Celtic fans are behind the gaffer. All of them.

And for Rob McLean (who is usually very balanced on the show) to come out and say this on The Go Radio Football Show, just shows you that the media narrative is real and the clubs silence on it is worse.

Speaking about developing youngsters and getting the balance right of bleeding youngsters and winning Rob came out with this beauty, “Because the reality is that [ if it doesn’t happen for Ange Postecoglou this season.

If it’s not deemed to be a successful season, then he might not be around to see the development of Adam Montgomery because it is a brutal business, as we well know.”

I’m sorry! What? Ange won’t be around if this season has no success?

Are these guys not paying attention? What is telling though is not one single reference was made to the Rangers boss being sacked if he didn’t win the league this season or a cup.

What a strange wee place the Scottish media landscape is.
