‘Seriously?’ – Celtic fans are all saying the same thing after Viaplay’s latest Rangers comments

If there is one thing the Celtic fans love doing it is reminding those prominent characters in the game about the real stature of Rangers in the Scottish game.

The complete whitewashing of their liquidation and apparent continuation of their history really bugs not just the Celtic fans, but also fans of other clubs in Scotland.

With the League Cup final coming up on Sunday, Viaplay were at it this week with another blatant lie and attempt to deny Rangers died with this promotional tweet.

Viaplay tweeted, “It’s been a long wait since 2011, but nobody has won more Scottish League Cups than Rangers.

“Could Sunday’s #ViaplayCup final mirror these scenes from when No. 27 was secured against Celtic?”

Celtic fans remind Rangers of their fate

I’ll bet as soon as the ‘send’ button was hit, the admin of the Viaplay X account immediately regretted it.

The tweet has over 213k views so you could say it was a success at promoting the final but all it really did was highlight the fact that Rangers died in 2012 and they are now complicit in the liquidation lie.

One fan replied, “TBF that’s the old club there & then they died.”, whilst another added, “The Rangers have never won it. They bought the history of another club. Doesn’t count.”

An Aberdeen fan even got in on the act, “Seriously? They’ve never won it. There was a club called ‘Glasgow’ Rangers, they folded in 2012, went bust.

Left loads of people & businesses out of pocket. Their fans refused to save them & walked away. You may be confusing ‘The’ Rangers (Sevco 2012) with them. Keep up!

And I’ll leave it with this final comment which pretty much sums up how others see our game because of this, “Lol. Viaplay continuing the lie. No wonder our league is laughed at.
