Regular readers of this site will know that any opportunity I get I will take a swing at the Ibrox club but even I can’t take credit for this.

A video was posted on Twitter last night of a mocked-up Rangers press conference where it suggests the Livingston manager has been given the manager’s job.

Brilliantly done and, let’s be honest, there are many Rangers fans that want this appointment to happen.

I would love to see Martindale at Rangers. The two of them are perfectly matched and it would also ensure that Celtic will be the dominant force in Scottish football for years to come.
