Jamie Bryson’s Celtic meltdown as Ibrox outrage sparks Martin O’Neill remark

The fallout from Celtic’s dramatic Scottish Cup penalty shootout win at Ibrox has taken a predictable turn into the absurd.

While Celtic fans still celebrate a hard-fought victory that moved us into the semi-finals, certain voices across the water are having a full-scale digital meltdown.

Leading the charge is Jamie Bryson, whose social media activity following the match has been nothing short of frantic.

Bryson’s ire was primarily directed at Celtic manager Martin O’Neill, who described the post-match pitch incursions as a result of ‘natural euphoria.’ Not Bryson. His tears are delicious.

What broke Bryson, was a “goad” that triggered his latest series of posts. Claiming that the media is presenting Celtic as ‘victims’, Bryson’s commentary has pivoted toward attacking the players and staff, to deflect from the security breaches witnessed on Sunday.

Bryson’s Celtic tears continue as social media meltdown goes viral

In one of his more bizarre takes, Bryson argued that Rangers fans entered the pitch to ‘defend the players’, which is believable to be fair, because these guys are used to defending statues.

This narrative stands in stark contrast to the footage of Julian Araujo and Celtic backroom staff being targeted by aggressors. This attempt to rewrite the events of the afternoon embarrasses even Bryson

Police Scotland continues to investigate what they termed “shameful” scenes. They might want to investigate Bryson’s embarrassing social media behaviour as well.

For the Celtic support, these meltdowns are the gold plating on a Glasgow Derby win.

While the noise continues online, the facts remain: Celtic showed the nerve to win on penalties, and Martin O’Neill’s side is the one heading to Hampden.

No amount of social media deflection can change the scoreline or the reality that security failed to protect Celtic from hostile Ibrox crowd.
