Sky Sports pundit Kris Boyd reacts to Celtic’s 97th-minute winner against Kilmarnock during a live studio broadcast.

Celtic fans mock Kris Boyd’s Kilmarnock injury time comments

Kris Boyd’s slant at Celtic’s injury time added on has been mocked by the Parkhead support this week.

The Sky Sports pundit put on a wee skit on the Go Ballistic podcast where Boyd suggested that Celtic manager Martin O’Neill called him to give him more time to check out of his hotel room.

Celtic fans can watch the embarrassing skit below.

Kris Boyd’s embarrassing Celtic skit

Boyd is using his platforms on Sky and The Scottish Sun to peddle this Celtic injury time narrative and it simply does now wash with Hoops fans.

As Roger Hannah fawned with fake laughter, the Celtic supporters were quick to mock Boyd.

The stats that debunk Kris Boyd’s moonhowling Celtic conspiracy

We told earlier this week how this Celtic injury-time narrative was debunked by DataBhoys on social media.

Celtic are 11th in the table of the clubs who get the most added on time at the end of each game with, surprise surprise, Rangers on top with almost five minutes compared to Celtic getting just over 4 minutes and 10 seconds.

Celtic supporters dispute Kris Boyd’s ‘play until they score’ claim

@charliecelticfc starts the fightback and said, “Sky should release him from his duties, not even funny anymore. Pathetic.”

@finnymac67 is laughinb at Boyd and says, “He can’t understand how this Celtic squad is in a title race. Absolutely glorious.

“The beauty is the only way is up for this team. They can’t get worse than that first half at Kilmarnock.

“I’m not sure if we have enough but they won’t stop. That’s proven.”

@joemorgan4 replied with, “A most dislikable human being.”

And finally, this tweet sums up Boyd perfectly:

The serious side to this is that Boyd gets a lot of exposure in The Scottish Sun and on Sky Sports and it won’t be long until the match officials will feel under pressure not to apply the rules of stoppage time properly.
