Celtic fans have had to put up with a lot of nonsense over the last 48 hours over how much time is added on at the end of their games.
Martin O’Neill’s side came back from 2-0 down against Kilmarnock to win 3-2 with Julian Araujo’s Celtic goal coming in the 97th minute.
People like Kris Boyd continue to peddle the narrative that Celtic play until they score while he ignores the blatant Rangers penalty anonomaly that should be capturing the headlines.
But it seems that this nonsense has been put to bed now after the brilliant social media account DataBhoys shared exactly who gets the most time added on out of all the teams in the Scottish Premiership.
And, shock horror, guess who comes out on top? It’s not Celtic.
Rangers get more added time than Celtic as ‘conspiracy theory’ is debunked
Celtic have a habit of getting late goals to win games and it’s a brilliant habit that is causing pain over at Rangers and Hearts.
And as both sets of fans continue to peddle the myth that Celtic have more time than any other team in the league, the DataBhoys slapped that down instantly.
Taking to X, they said, “No idea where these numbers come from, or why 45+ added time is relevant for a conspiracy theory about 90+ goals – but what the hell, I‘ll bite!
“Of the top four, it’s Rangers who avgerage the highest 90+ added time per match, both in general & specifically when chasing a goal.”

And when digging deeper, Celtic are not even second in the list.
Rangers average nearly 5 minutes of added time while Celtic languish in 11th
Sitting top of the league is, surprise surprise, Rangers who on average get almost 95 minutes per game.
Next in the table is Livingston with just over 4.8 minutes with Falkirk next with just under 4.8 minutes.
Full league table here – I really cannot be bothered going through every individual game of every team and seeing who was drawing or one goal behind at 90 minutes so please accept just the general average added time +90 here. pic.twitter.com/sSWkPg5jBL

Celtic languish in 11th place with an average of what looks like 4.15 minutes of added on time per game as the figures smashes this bizarre narrative over the head with facts, and not hyperbole from the likes of Boyd.
