Wilfried Nancy’s tenure at Celtic is coming to a slow, but inevitable end.
The Celtic manager presided over yet another defeat as Motherwell hit the Hoops 2-0 in Fir Park.
That Celtic result means Nancy has lost five games out of seven in just over one month in charge at the Parkhead club.
And as Celtic fans call for Nancy’s head, former Hoops boss and legend Ange Postecoglou remains a free agent.
However, it seems that the Aussie was asked about a potential return to Celtic when Brendan Rodgers quit and ACSOM’s Paul John Dykes shares what he said about the proposal.
What Ange Postecoglou told Celtic about coming back to Paradise
Postecoglou left Celtic after winning a treble and is now out of work after being sacked by Tottenham and Nottingham Forest.
And it turns out that when Rodgers left Celtic, Ange was asked to come back as Paul John reveals what he said.
Paul John told A Celtic State of Mind, “I’m going to throw this out here, lads, because we’ve just been beaten again. It’s very disappointing.
“I can see the league title disappearing into the distance. And then we get Gabby Gardner jumping in and saying, ‘Go get Ange’.
“I mean, yeah, take it all day long. Apparently he was asked the question. You know, he was asked the question after Brendan left.
“He said his head was all over the place at that point. Do you go back to him?
“I know it’s going back to the well. I know it is. But at least we know the guy’s got the the balls for the job.”
Celtic fans would probably welcome Ange back with open arms but would he return to what is turning out to be a joke of a club?
