Celtic head of operations Paul Tisdale

The Celtic transfer rumour that ‘has Tisdale written all over it’

Wilfried Nancy will be looking to add at least a striker to his Celtic squad this January.

Celtic’s win over Aberdeen highlighted the need for a top-quality forward as Wilfried Nancy’s side made heavy weather of the 3-1 win.

Celtic spurned chance after chance as Jimmy Thelin’s ten-man side threatened to take at least a point back to Pittodrie with them.

However, Nancy’s first win as the Celtic manager was sealed with two late goals from Kieran Tierney and James Forrest.

And as Celtic look to strengthen this January, ACSOM’s Lawrence Connolly said that there is one rumour doing the rounds that has Paul Tisdale’s sticky fingers all over it.

Celtic warned to stay away from Kyogo Furuhashi deal

Tisdale’s Celtic future has come under serious scrutiny after a shambolic summer transfer window and the delayed signing of new Hoops boss Nancy.

And as rumours circulate about Kyogo Furuhashi potentially returning to Celtic, Lawrence immediately scorned it.

When asked of he would welcome a Kyogo return, Lawrence said on A Celtic State of Mind, “An injury-prone 30-year-old with no resale value who has scored one goal in a year?

“Whose best season was Ange’s first season?

“It’s got Tisdale written all over it.”

Kyogo’s Birmingham spell has been a nightmare for the Japanese star as he’s failed to score in 21 appearances for the club.

With Celtic looking for a striker, these rumours are going to continue.
