There is absolutely no doubt that Celtic fans have enjoyed watching the team over the last two games.
Fans watched Celtic comprehensively beat Falkirk last Wednesday night before the the Bhoys beat Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup.
The Hampden win caused a complete Rangers fan meltdown as Celtic supporters came to the realisation that their team is back.
And while the Celtic fans celebrate, Brendan Rodgers has been told that watching his old club’s return to form should make ‘uncomfortable’ watching for the former Parkhead boss
Brendan Rodgers asked where three Celtic players ‘have been’ after Martin O’Neill revival
Speaking about Celtic’s improving fortunes, journalist Stephen McGowan has told Rodgers he should be in pain at watching how three players who were bombed out, are now flourishing.
McGowan told The Scottish Football Podcast, “I think, actually, the only Celtic fan who will be uncomfortable watching that today would be Brendan Rodgers, because for the reasons you outlined there.
“I mean, people are naturally going to be asking, where is that intensity, that aggression, that press, that desire? Where has that been in recent months?
“It’s been pedestrian, it’s been a bit laboured in the performances. Where has Callum Osmond been? He’s been consigned to B-team football.
“Didn’t really feel like he’d been given a chance. Auston Trusty had been kind of like, he had been injured for a long time, to be fair, but didn’t play in that big game at Hearts.
“Comes in today and wins man of the match. With Johnny Kenny, who has scored three goals in two games since the change of manager.”
Rodgers certainly seems to have been blinded by his stubbornness when it comes to team selection so it is little wonder Celtic performances were flat.
O’Neill has created a spark in this Celtic team and it bodes well should the Northern Irishman be allowed to continue until the end of this season.
