Adrian Durham slams Hearts VAR ‘shocker’ that ‘robbed’ Celtic and St Mirren

Celtic closed the gap at the top of the league with a win over Falkirk as Hearts dropped points at St Mirren.

Celtic beat Falkirk in a convincing 4-0 win as Hearts struggled in Paisley and drew 2-2 against St Mirren.

But it could have been so much worse for the capital club as VAR saved Hearts from defeat with a shocking call to chalk off a third St Mirren goal.

And it was a call that ensured Hearts remained six points ahead of Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table as talkSPORT pundit Adrian Durham fumed.

Hearts VAR call ‘absolutely robbed’ St Mirren and Celtic

Durham was unusually fuming about Scottish football and VAR when normally the people on that radio station tend not to pay attention to the game up here.

Durham told talkSPORT, “I saw the table last night, and they [Rangers] are up to third.

“I’m not necessarily sure if things are okay at Rangers. Let’s put it that way.

“But, if you haven’t seen the decision, the VAR decision to rob St Mirren of the goal that would have made it 3-1 against Hearts yesterday, you’ve got to watch it, tt’s one of the worst VAR decisions I have ever seen.

“They’ve got huge problems with VAR in Scotland. They haven’t got a clue what they’re doing with it.

“St Mirren were absolutely robbed last night. It was a shocker.”

It will be interesting to see how Hearts react to their first stumble of the season this weekend.

With Celtic facing Rangers in the Premier Sports Cup, the capital club have the chance to go nine points clear.

But will their bottle hold?
