Brendan Rodgers’ big Daizen Maeda & Kieran Tierney call: Born Celtic’s predicted XI vs Livingston

Celtic will need to be better today than against Kairat Almaty if they are to beat Livingston this afternoon.

Celtic’s draw with Kairat unleashed a ferocious bout of booing towards the Parkhead board on Wednesday night.

With more Celtic fan action rumoured to be planned for today, any dropped points against David Martindale’s side will spark more I’ll-feeling towards the board.

So three points are a must today bit with Celtic’s injury problems piling up, Brendan Rodgers has a selection dilemma on his hands.

So, with that in mind, here is our predicted XI as Celtic face Livingston this afternoon.

Kieran Tierney drops to Celtic’s bench vs Livingston

First up, Kieran Tierney stops to the Celtic bench. With his fitness still needing built up, Rodgers will look to rest the former Arsenal man this afternoon.

Tierney has been excellent this season providing an assist in every game bar the Kairat draw.

A rest will do him good with Liam Scales taking his place in the left full-back position.

Celtic boss rests Daizen Maeda

Daizen Maeda will also sit this one out as the Japanese star clearly needs a break.

Maeda looked in trouble in the Kairat draw and whilst Rodgers confirmed he is ok, no chances can be taken ahead of the Champions League second leg.

Hyunjun Yang will get a rare start and the South Korean will now need to start producing if he is to prove he has a future at Celtic.

Celtic starting XI vs Livingston: Schmeichel, Scales, Carter-Vickers, Murray, Ralston, McGregor (c), Hatate, Nygren, Yang, Forrest, Kenny
