Celtic fans holding up an anti-racism banner

Rangers Rabble’s disgraceful Celtic racism after Champions League pain

For normal football fans, even most Rangers supporters, a defeat is disappointing and most lick their wounds and analyse the game like a normal human being.

However, there are some Rangers fans who take a defeat badly and somehow turn it into chat about Celtic.

But many don’t do is revert to being racist against Celtic’s players because, well, it’s not normal.

But for one guy on the Rangers Rabble, it appears racist comments towards Celtic players just roll off his tongue.

Rangers Rabble’s racist comments towards Celtic’s Hyunjun Yang

We regularly call out Rangers fans’ racist slurs against Celtic players and it ramped up as soon as Ange Postecoglou targeted players from East Asia.

You would think, that almost four years later, they would have moved on by now. But no, some of their clocks are still stuck on 1690.

The guy at the bottom left said, “McGregor can pass and they two wing merchants of Maeda, and that other guy on the other side who’s faster than him with the sl-nty eyes on the other side of the wing.

Host: “Oh no, no, no. You don’t say that. Don’t say that.”

The guy at the bottom replied: “I called him that because I don’t know whether he’s Japanese, Chinese or Korean or whatever.”

Fair play to the podcast host for calling out immediately, but instead of apologising, the guy said this:

“Know what I’ll do because I’ve obviously upset a few folk here, but this is the same folk who probably chanted about being up on their knees and another religious blood, right?

“But now they’re having a wee go at me, but I, so I’ll tell you what we’ll do. I’ll just call it a day here, right?

“Because I’m not having the guys there give me a hard time, but they probably, as I said, sit in the pub or sit in the games and sing about another religion, that I don’t do, up to the up to their knees.

“So yeah, I don’t want your pod to be in any any more trouble for a wee throwaway comment. I’ll just chuck it, mate.”

A throw away comment? When did racist remarks simply become a throwaway comment? Now, a friend said to me if this guy has the temerity to say this on camera, just imagine the conversations of it?

Now, to be fair to the guy that said the racist comment, at least he acknowledges the fact that there is still anti-Catholic singing going on at Ibrox.

Because the Scottish media, the SPFL and the SFA all seem to be deaf to it.
