Celtic’s Trophy Day should be a time of celebration in Glasgow.
It should be a day of colour, partying and happiness as Brendan Rodgers, the Celtic first-team and the fans to enjoy a day after winning their fourth title in a row.
But it seems that the authorities in the city simply cannot allow Celtic fans to enjoy their day in relative peace and quet.
An Orange Walk has been okayed for Celtic’s day of celebration and as the annual hate-fest march which glorifies a day of killing Catholics almost 400 years ago gets the go ahead, Scotland as a progressive country is immediately thrown back into the dark ages.
So how did the Orange Order get the permission to do this when thousands of Celtic fans will be in the city celebrating? ACSOM’s Kevin Graham reckons he knows why.

Orange Order claimed a VE Parade is taking place on Celtic’s Trophy Day
That’s right, you heard that correctly. The hate organisation hasn’t told the council the real reason for walk.
Kevin told A Celtic State of Mind, “It’s a VE parade, isn’t it? It’s a Victory in Europe parade a week after all the rest of them, seemingly. That’s what they’re saying.
“That’s what they’ve applied to Glasgow City Council. As it’s been commemorating. And it looks like they’re just trying to stir up a wee bit of ballery.
“What I will say, and I think the street party has run its course and there should have been a next step either round the stadium and that should have been discussed by now.
“I think when it first happened, it was spontaneous and it was great. But eventually, once you’ve done it for a couple of years, you then got to go, right, what’s next? It’s kind of run, there should be something more organized.”
That’s a complete shambles and the application should have been thrown straight into the bin along with that sectarian organisation.
However, let’s hope the day passes without incident and the council are ready for the inevitable backlash for their absolutely lunatic decision.
