‘If you’re a Rangers supporter, got to be a bit of concern’ – Mark Guidi’s 49ers reality check as Celtic head for a treble

Celtic’s dominance of Scottish football continues this season as Rangers flounder about looking for new owners and a new manager.

The Ibrox club are a complete shambles on and off the park and as the San Francisco 49ers rumours continue, Brendan Rodgers is taking Celtic towards another potential treble.

The Rangers fans are desperate to see the end of the Parkhead club’s dominance so badly that they have thrown all their eggs into the American consortium’s basket.

But as the Rangers takeover sorry saga enters its fourth month, Mark Guidi has warned that there must be concerns over the deal getting over the line as Celtic’s trophy dominance continues.

Celtic fans will relate to Mark Guidi’s ‘how many timed have we heard this’ Rangers 49ers rant

Like Celtic fans, Guidi appears fed up at the constant American consortium rumours apparently buying Rangers and as Celtic head towards another potential treble, the journalist had a rant with a warning for the Ibrox fans.

Guidi told The Go Radio Football Show (6m), “How many times have we heard this? It’s nearly over the line. It’s nearly over the line. It’s nearly over the line.

“Is it going to get over the line? And I know they can’t go into the detail, but I think if you’re a Rangers supporter or you’re a Rangers shareholder or someone in the hierarchy of the club that knows that you need to get this over the line to try and move the club forward, there’s got to be a bit of concern.

“Because I think the story first emerged early to mid February, or now the first week in May, but it’s been going on since October. We believe they’ve been over. It’s in the hands of the lawyers.

“You know, if it was anything to do with Leeds United, everybody knows where Leeds United stand now, so there’s no dubiety over that.

“So you can crack on in whatever way you need to crack on if that was potentially a problem. But as I’ve said many times, we’ll now see it again if it’s mid June, and you’d imagine that Dave King knows his stuff, but he can’t speak for all the shareholders that want to sell or don’t want to sell.”

Celtic supporters won’t really care if the Americans get involved in the Ibrox club or not because they know the truth about how much money the 49ers will give Rangers to mount a title challenge.

UEFA rules dictate that Rangers need to live within their means an as Celtic have been doing that for decades, whatever money that is handed to the Ibrox club, Celtic can, and will, outspend that and then some.
