Celtic hero Chris Sutton fires shots at Rangers fans as they get delusional about Barry Ferguson beating Kilmarnock

Rangers are back! That’s the message to Celtic fans this morning as Barry Ferguson brushed down his brown brogues to eventually beat Kilmarnock.

Celtic supporters have been hearing this nonsense since the new club was formed in 2012 but at one point last night it did look like Kilmarnock were about to embarrass the Ibrox club.

2-0 up in the first 15 minutes, Ferguson made a change, and, to be fair to him, it worked as Derek McInnes did his old pal a favour and appeared to roll over as Rangers ran out eventual 4-2 winners and allow the travelling support to embarrass themselves by celebrating as if they had won hte league itself.

Noticing the reaction at Rugby Park and online, Celtic man Chris Sutton, fired shots at the Ibrox support as they got delusional about their interim gaffer.

Taking to X, Sutton said, “Philippe Clement was a disgrace for taking Bailey Rice off.

“Barry Ferguson was a genius for taking Clinton Nsiala off.

“Football, eh?”

If the truth be told, that game should have been out of sight last night as Kilmarnock seemed to take it easy after going 2-0 up as they spurned chance after chance.

In the grand scheme of things, the new manager bounce is still in effect and it won’t be long until the new Rangers show what the old Rangers were all about and the EBT Team of Ferguson, McCann and Dodds are shown up for what they really are.

A mish-mash of staunch appointments to appease a baying Rangers support and rinse them of season ticket money as they hail the bit of staunchness the club has been lacking for years.
