‘They looked damaged’ – Watch Ally McCoist’s tears as Rangers hire Barry Ferguson to take on Celtic

Ally McCoist is in some serious pain as looks at the job Barry Ferguson has at Rangers to try and catch Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers saw off his sixth Rangers manager over two spells at Celtic and as the Ibrox club looks set to fork out a fortune for dispensing of Clement, Ally McCoist was in some serious pain today as he looked at the state of his old team.

Rangers lost to St Mirren just less than two weeks after suffering a humiliating Scottish Cup exit to Queen’s Park and now that Clement has gone, McCoist is in tears about the job Ferguson has on his hands as Celtic reign supreme again this season.

McCoist was reacting to the news Barry Ferguson was given the job to close the Rangers gap to Celtic when he slaughtered the state of the Ibrox team just 24 hours before their trip to Kilmarnock.

McCoist said on talkSPORT, “I look at the team and I look at the players right now and Europe aside, they look damaged, mate.

“You know, they look damaged. They look low in confidence, they look, for want of a better description, look all over the place, particularly in the last two home games and some of their away performances domestically.
