Daizen Maeda’s disallowed Celtic goal vs Hibs is one that has caused a huge uproar with the Celtic supporters.
Maeda thought he had equalised late on in the game until VAR chipped in and disallowed Celtic’s late strike against the capital club.
Confusion reigned, and still does, as to whether or not the full ball had crossed the Hibs byeline but the VAR team were convinced it had.
I bet they will now wish they had left well alone after a TikTok from a Hibs fan is set to embarrass the national association and its multi-million-pound technology.
TikTok casts serious doubt on VAR’s decision to chalk off Celtic goal vs Hibs
A Hibs fan created a vlog for her TikTok account about the matchday experience at Easter Road for the Celtic game.
Little did the fan realise that the footage she was about to capture could wind up causing even more controversy for the SFA and their failure of a VAR system in the Celtic win.
Have a watch of this:

The footage casts serious doubts over the SFA insistence that VAR got the decision correct and if you didn’t see it from the footage, the still image below sheds more light.
Still image of Celtic’s Alistair Johnston vs Hibs will cause red faces at the SFA
An image taken from the footage shows an almost straight angle from the second the ball left Alistair Johnston’s foot.

Moving the picture a few degrees to the left looks like it could prove to the SFA and VAR that not all of the ball crossed the Hibs byline at Easter Road.
This is an episode that is sure to embarrass the SFA and Willie Collum who will need to come out and explain to Celtic why they ‘guessed’ their decision to disallow what looks like a perfectly good goal.
