More footage emerges of another red card Rangers should have had vs Celtic at Hampden

It’s quite strange how all the talk this week is about a non-penalty Rangers are claiming they should have had when no-one is talking about the decisions that Celtic never got in the League Cup final.

Last night we spoke about the brilliant social media account Lint, who provided footage of a goal Rangers should have had disallowed against Celtic at Hampden.

A foul on Cameron Carter-Vickers showed that VAR failed to intervene as the Celtic defender tried to stop Diomande’s deflected shot trundle into the back of Kasper Schmeichel’s net.

But it seems there was another decision that went against Celtic that should have seen Rangers defender Leon Balogun see red after already being booked early on in the League Cup final.

Celtic’s Reo Hatate battered twice as Rangers defender ‘goes in with studs up’

This footage shows Balogun battering Reo Hatate twice and being booked just once and then later on in the match he clearly goes in late on Carter-Vickers but, amazingly, escapes a red card.

Have a watch of this:

Quite remarkable that nothing has been made of this and the goal that should have been disallowed.

But Celtic fans should just let Rangers get on with it. The Ibrox support’s meltdown after Celtic beat them has been outstanding and I am sure there are many more tears to come as this week plays out.
