As Celtic fans enjoy their weekend Ibrox infighting continues as Rangers chairman publicly clamps Dave King

As the Celtic fans enjoyed another five goals at Parkhead and now look forward to another trip to Hampden, the Rangers infighting continues as a new chairman comes to the fore.

Brendan Rodgers guided his team to a tough League Cup win against Falkirk on Sunday and has the prospect of getting to another final should Celtic beat Aberdeen at Hampden in November.

And whilst the Celtic fans enjoyed their result today, the Rangers implosion continues after they appointed a new chairman after the resignation of John Bennett last week.

John Gilligan was appointed interim chairman and what was one of his first ports of call? You guessed it, to clamp down on Dave King who has crawled out from under the woodwork as Celtic’s domination of Scottish football continues.

Celtic fans will enjoy King’s public humiliation

King was in the media once again after Celtic battered Rangers in the Glasgow Derby and claimed the Ibrox club were in crisis.

And in response to that, Gilligan has told King to shut up and ‘behave like a proper shareholder’:

Gilligan said, “Well, has any director or any person at the club said anything about Dave? No. Have they responded publicly to enter a negotiation? No.

“Will I ever say anything bad about Dave? No. Do I wish he would stop? Yes. I just said, ‘Dave, please take it below the radar and really behave like a proper shareholder and it’s a shame because he’s a great character and a massive influence at the club at the time.”

A club will always behave like a circus when there are clowns in charge and what a circus that lot over in Ibrox is.

From the stadium shambles to the amateurish recruitment, Rangers are doing a smashing job at keeping the Celtic fans entertained off the pitch as we enjoy our club’s football on it and long may it continue.
