It was only a matter of time before the Orange Order released a statement on the George Square anti-fascist demonstration that some Celtic fans attended.
The event was in reply to an organisation arranged on Saturday which was attended by some far-right organisations under the guise of a ‘pro-Union’ rally that saw some of the thickest people on the planet attend.
Indeed, even Rangers supporting TikToker Steely was there looking like a reject Homelander from the popular superhero series, The Boys.
Anyway, someone in the crowd captured Jeanette Findlay confronting the police as they moved on the Celtic-supporting section of the anti-fascist rally.
Jeanette asked if the police were going to move on ‘the Huns’ as well and it’s caused quite a stir on social media from the usual suspects.
Orange Order slapped down by Celtic fans
And to show their shock and horror, a bizarre statement from the Orange Order calling out ‘hate speech’ was incredibly released.
The statement said, “The Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland strongly condemn the “Hate” speech given by the leader of Call it Out, Jeanette Findlay on Saturday in George Square.
“The speech by Professor Jeanette Findlay, Professor of Economics at the Adam Smith Business School at Glasgow University, is a prime example of hate speech directed towards the Protestant community. Such rhetoric is harmful and divisive, and it has no place in our society. We must strive to foster a community built on mutual respect and understanding, where all individuals and groups feel safe and valued.
“Glaringly, for far too long, the poison of anti-Protestantism in our society has been swept under the carpet by successive Scottish Governments, and it seems as if at times it is indeed Scottish Government policy to do so.
“The Orange Order is not, of course, either a race or a religion, yet the terminology in which our members are systematically abused would see the perpetrators arrested and imprisoned should they choose to use similar terms for any other section of society. This is often masked under the guise of a ‘political’ defence; however, the nature of the abuse and its vehemence is basically indistinguishable from racism.
“Regrettably in Scotland offenders are allowed to get away with these reprehensible actions irrespective of the psychological and emotional trauma this impacts on our members and their families. Professor Jeanette Findlay is one such example of this.
“The Hate That Dare Not Speak Its Name carries on relentless. It is high time that this was addressed. Grand Lodge have written to official departments within the Scottish Government, Police Scotland and other relative organisations expressing our concern over Professor Findlay’s speech and seeking action.”
Let’s forget the litany of spelling mistakes I had to correct as someone at the Lodge clearly used their forehead to type it out, are we really not going to discuss the irony of this?
Who is this lot to preach about hatred and division when a large portion of the Irish Catholic and Celtic supporting part of the country need to put up with their marches every summer?
And that is the very question the Celtic fans are asking right now:
Loyal orange institute lecturing others on hate 😂😂😂.

The irony is not lost on this Celtic supporter:
Oh f-ck off. You lot have been spewing hatred again the Catholic population and nobody does f-ck all about that.

Orange Order members showing hatred can be found by a quick Google search? Well, I never:
I'm looking forward to her blowing you out the water with examples of hatred by members of your order. It's easy to find on Google.

A simple explanation:
What did she say that was considered hatred? I've seen it. Did I miss something?

And here is the kicker:

We can either have free speech laws or hate speech laws, but we can’t have both.
Again, only allowing this comment on my site to show your stupidity.
This is right up there with Netanyahu and his Zionist thugs claiming victimisation as they herd families into “safe zones” then burn burn them alive in their tents. 40 odd thousand now?
