‘It’s things like this that keep up buried’ – Rangers fan pain at Celtic’s £30m Matt O’Riley Brighton deal

The day when Matt O’Riley becomes an official Brighton player is closing in real fast now.

O’Riley has been a superb signing for Celtic is and loved by every single Hoops supporter.

Ever since he made his debut against Hearts in 2022, the signs were already there that O’Riley is and would turn into a quality player.

And now, two and a a half seasons and six trophies later, O’Riley is set to strut his stuff in the English Premier league this season for the The Seagulls.

It’s a gutting transfer for the Celtic fans to take but it seems that it’s also broken the Rangers fans as the Ibrox support vent their feelings on the Scottish record transfer fee.

Rangers fan pain at Celtic’s O’Riley deal

Not long after Fabrizio Romano had announced that a deal for the Celtic midfielder was close to being struck, the pain from Ibrox was clear to see.

This is just a mental take:

Not only did O’Riley slap his club about, he won two man of the match awards in the Champions League.

Anyway:

It is unreal and that’s what makes that Rangers supporters’ pain even better. And now:

Maybe ‘Aye Ready’ needs to stick to talking about his own players because this podcast’s reputation has been shot to pieces after that comment.

This has to be the comment of the thread:

And there were many more comments just like this. The pain from the Ibrox support is superb and if Celtic invest every penny of that £30m fee back into the team, then Rangers will forever be in our shadow.

Over to you Michael Nicholson.
