Bundesliga journalist tells why Wolfsburg wanted rid of new Rangers signing Vaclav Cerny and it will fill Celtic supporters with glee

As Celtic fans wait for more transfer news, our friends across the city have been busy adding new faces as Rangers make their sixth (I think) summer addition.

Now this was always going to happen as the Ibrox club is seriously bereft of experience and talent after allowing Conor Goldson, John Lundstram and others to leave for free this summer.

It’s a shame because all these players have been brilliant additions to The Banter Years over the last few seasons.

However, it seems that all is not lost as a Bundesliga journalist has shared with Phil Mac Giolla Bhain what he knows about Rangers’ new summer addition, Vaclav Cerny.

Cerny has Alfredo Morelos vibes

Cerny is the latest *insert Scottish media wonderkid synonym here* player to join the Ibrox revolution under Philippe Clement.

And as the Rangers fans are over the moon, the Celtic fans will also be delighted when they hear why Wolfsburg were so desperate to get rid of a player they paid €8m just twelve short months ago.

In his latest blog, Phil said, “I contacted a fellow member of the IFJ (International Federation of Journalists) and asked him about the player.

“He painted the picture of an undoubtedly talented lad with a somewhat relaxed attitude to the lifestyle requirements of a disciplined athlete.”

Reminds you of Alfredo Morelos, doesn’t it? The former Rangers striker was so relaxed about his lifestyle that there used to be at least two of him that would return for pre-season training if he ever reported on time for it at all.

This is superb news for the Celtic fans because with TikTok Todd Cantwell also leaving the south side of Glasgow this summer, the lack of figures of fun in the south side was threatening to make this season a bit boring for the Celtic supporters.
