Celtic fans will find Barry Ferguson’s latest Rangers comments hilarious but they will enrage Dundee

Barry Ferguson talking Celtic

The fallout of the Rangers defeat on Sunday continues as the Celtic fans enjoy day two of the Ibrox meltdown.

I promise I will get back to bringing you some proper Celtic news but I have to say, covering this has been a lot of fun.

The number of Rangers-leaning pundits who are losing it over the Dingwall defeat has been superb and next in line is former Rangers captain, Barry Ferguson.

Wee Barry was speaking about Clement’s capitulation against The Staggies and whilst he agrees that the performance and result is unacceptable, he said something about the upcoming Dundee game that should enrage the Dens Park support.

Barry Ferguson expects Rangers to ‘run all over’ Dundee

Ferguson tries to come across as a fair-minded and unbiased pundit but every so often his mask slips and he comes out with a belter.

Like this one coming up about tomorrow night’s game.

Ferguson said (The Go Radio Football Show), “I was going crazy but I’m a bit calmer today because it’s clear what Rangers have to do.

“That yesterday was clearly not good enough. The great thing about football is that they have a game on Wednesday night and I would expect them to come out of the traps and run all over the top of Dundee.

“I never seen that coming yesterday.”

Has he not learned his lesson from the weekend? Ferguson’s assumption that Dundee are there as cannon fodder should be pinned up on the Dundee players’ dressing room wall.

That comment is all that’s wrong with the Ibrox support. Plain and simply, they are full of self-entitlement.

Dundee are in the top six out of merit. They didn’t fluke it. They got there playing some very good football.

And I along with the rest of the Celtic support hope that they bring along that brand of football and prove to Ferguson that they are there to be reckoned with, not walked over.
