I’ve never been so delighted for a Celtic striker to get his first goal for the club.
The signing of Oh heralded the beginning of the end of Giakoumakis Celtic career and as many fans wondered if the new bhoy could fill the big Greek strikers boots, they need worry no more.
Oh opened his scoring account for the Hoops with a well taken poachers goal which will undoubtedly give the South Korean much needed confidence boost heading into a busy month where we could get without Kyogo, depending on his injury status.
And it wasn’t just his finish that impressed. The big striker proved himself to be a real handful for the St Mirren defenders from the moment he first stepped onto the pitch.
His unselfish dummy on the edge of the box also allowed Hatate to smash Celtic’s fifth goal into the top right hand corner to finish off a 5-1 rout of St Mirren.
And how much is Oh lovingly at Celtic now after breaking his scoring duck? Check out the class footage below to see him celebrating with the home fans Kyogo style:
This is just the beginning for Oh.
Early indications show that this young man could be an outstanding signing for Celtic.
I can’t wait to see how he steps up from here.
