I have heard Neil Lennon’s name bandied about for the Dons job in various Celtic circles.
In my view, Aberdeen need a Neil Lennon type character to drag them out of the mess they are in but the real Neil Lennon is not the man to do it.
He’s not the manager he once was. The Hoops legend has far too many demons and can you just imagine the sheer hatred he would receive from the Ibrox fans if he took over at Pittodrie?
But luckily for him, he can’t return to the country even if he wanted to according to Hugh Keevins.
Speaking on Clyde 1, Keevins revealed, “As I understand it, Neil Lennon has a tax complication insofar as, if he returns to this country, then he will have to pay full tax on the earnings that he accumulated in Cyprus and cannot return to this country until the new fiscal year in April.
“Which, for me, would rule Neil Lennon out of the job.“
It has to be said, there is nothing wrong with what Neil Lennon is doing but is it worth missing out on one of the biggest jobs in Scottish football for?
Only Lenny can answer that one.
