Aberdeen’s win on Saturday was just about the most frustrating match I have watched since Ange Postecoglou took charge of the club last summer.
Teams know we play fast and expansive football and, as is their right, will try to nullify that whenever they come up against us.
But to do so with no intentions of even attempting to attack when you are the home team is just disgraceful.
But as Celtic struggled to break down a dogged defence, Barry Ferguson hinted to two major changes that he reckons Ange may make for tonight’s visit of Livingston.
Speaking on Go Radio, Ferguson said, “Maeda does a real good job. His work rate you can never fault, just the quality times.
“I thought Abada did make a big difference to Celtic.
“Giakoumakis coming on, I’ve said this a few times, I wasn’t too sure of him but he knows where the back of the net is . And I just thought Celtic looked even stronger when he came on.
“Listen, Kyogo has been unbelievable for Celtic. The amount of goals he scores, he chases lost causes, he gets in behind, but I just think Giakoumakis brings a physical presence as well up top and he certainly knows where the back of the net is.
“I just think they two that made a difference when Postecoglou made the changes.”
We all know Livingston are a physical side and are likely to sit with either a bank of five at the back and four in the middle so we will need to have that physicality and trickery to help break them down.
