This stat is simply brilliant.
For all of *Rangers and wee Gio’s efforts in Europe last season, it seems it makes not a blind bit of difference when it come to where the managers rank in the Top 50 of world football.
After being beaten in the Europa League Final and then celebrating a Scottish Cup win more than we did a league win (a league they didn’t care about) it looks like Ange’s league and cup double is valued more than that of Gio’s European run.
According to Four Four Two, Postecoglou is ranked number 30 in the worlds top 50 coaches with Gio scraping into the rankings at 44th.
The Celtic gaffer is tanked higher than Lucien Favre (who was linked to the job prior to Ange’s appointment), Marco Silva, Jose Mourinho, and Luis Enrique.
It’s as if winning domestic silverware is ranked more importantly than a run to a European Final and ending up with nothing.
Weird that isn’t it?
