Just when you think that fanbase can’t stoop any lower.
Just when you think you’ve seen and heard it all from them they go and take it one step further and show us all for the neanderthal’s that they are.
As their team prepared to face Liverpool in matchday 3 of the Champions League, it seems some fans took to Twitter to mock the deaths of the 96 souls that died at Hillsborough:
And as the tweet started to go viral, it was deleted.
Now many will say the guy was retaliating to a tweet mocking the Ibrox disaster and that tweet in itself is reprehensible, but I have to say, I have read many, many posts from *Rangers fans mocking child abuse, religion, the Pope, the list goes on, but I have never felt the urge to post anything that trivialises the deaths of football fans.
It takes a special kind of moron to do that.
And to be fair to these fans, they called it out on this thread:
Whilst the rest of social media called out the fans for what they are as chants songs and even copies of The Sun headlines of that day were waved in front of Liverpool fans:
the kop have a banner in memory of the 97 at hillsborough and the 66 rangers fans who died at the ibrox disaster, while rangers fans have been dishing out copies of the Sun front page instrumental in spreading lies about hillsborough
